Cote d’Voire, Abidjan 2016The population of Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire's economic center and main port city, is expected to increase 53% between 2010 and 2025, from 4.1 milion inhabitants to 6.3, which is the 5th most populous city in Africa. The city's construction sector has experienced significant growth with an increasing amount of infrastructure.
In this rapid urbanization of African Cities, Industrialization is not a luxury for the region but a necessity. The studio aimed to suggest industrial product that can be produced in Abidjan, to imrove their living condition and activate culture and economy.
The project delivered the design of a market stall kiosk as an infrastructural product that allows for aggregation and a communal, flexible market atmosphere, using Forum Adjame in Abidjan as a case study.
